The old kind of spelling will call it Xiaomai but i am not very picky about this. These are some of my knowledge about this dish. The Xiao Mai literally means "Small Meat" Xiao/shao/xiu is the pronunciation of the word "Small" in Chinese. While "Mai" is "Meat" or "Minced Meat". That i am not sure. It was called Small Meat because practically, it was made so that you can eat in one bite. In my country, we do Shaomai too but the style is much different (No flour-wrap around and they are served with sauce) and not for appetite purpose anymore. Not to mention they are much bigger (up to 200% bigger). |

@shadowblazer oh that. It'll get explained more in depth, but basically Mao took Shell's concept of flavor ratios, and instead made a giant shumai with all the meats packed together, making it a pork feast. In terms of cooking it, he first put it over charcoal heat, meaning that it would help slowly cook the shumai completely without burning it. |

@BestTeaMaker No not that, the next one where Shell shows off his skills and that BAMF tenderizer. Mao makes something truly unique and it made the master teach everyone else how to eat it. |

I'M SO HYPED FOR SHELL~We are now entering battle chef mode. @ShadowBlazer He used chicken eggs in the wrapper, stuffed crab eggs inside the chicken filling, then topped it with century duck eggs. |

@yu6 Shell really likes his Dimsum. Watch the anime if you cannot wait, same title or Cooking Master Boy in English. I still don't get how Mao made his dish for Shell'd challenge. |
