@SunsetSeeker you're approaching this as a modern reasonable person, while he is supposed to be crazy. if his attitude towards her changed, it wouldn't make sense

Y'know, it's pretty fucked up how he's gonna treat Freya later. I mean, don't get me wrong, the old Freya deserves to burn in hell, but the Freya that's with him now is pretty much a completely different person, at this point. Idk, it just doesn't feel right
Avatar
@madness123, he did say that after the time loop like 10 chapters ago yes.
Avatar
I think his last goal after revenge is what the devil told him during the first chapters.
Avatar
I'm only here waiting for the possibility of Freya regaining her previous consciouness and inevitably killing him at the very end, that's what I expect to happen.

so slow

oh don't you Count of Monte Cristo our beloved coocoolander now, wolf-girl. he needs people to genderbend

Whether he's doing it for revenge or justice would make no difference considering how thoroughly rotten that world is. No matter where his motivation lies, he will need to let that world burn. The only other real choice would be to become indifferent.
Avatar
What's next after he finish his revenge? Gathering more harem members, have sex orgies and make babies. ?

I sure hope he doesn't let go. In most cases an edge-MC returns to his senses or has a change of heart, it's handled absolutely blah. Him being a brutal and inhuman arsehole is the central core of the plot. And if it is becoming dry, then it's because the scenarios have been too dull. I know it might be easier let him change the way he acts to give the story a "new" turn (not new in the genre at all), but afterwards it would be heading to generic town.
So, to let it stay more "unique" then other mangas with a revenge plot at the beginning, let him see this revenge through. (Yehh, I knopw it's not that unique, but the number of stories the "hero" becomes a regular hero is much higher, than those, in which she/he doesn't change.)
Avatar
for those who are wondering whether he ever lets up on the edge:
Avatar
@Drifter As long as there are people that support those would-be heroes, I doubt it.
Avatar
Well it looks like the author understands that normal human psychology finds revenge for revenge's sake unsatisfying so here's hoping that MC grows beyond all knowing time traveller out for revenge eventually. I can overlook the 'loose' definition of healing and how everyone besides him is so blatantly corrupt but the MC's perpetual revenge-lust is just starting to get dry, and we haven't even met 2 out of the 3 people he wanted revenge on...
