They can probably justify it with the usual excuses: "it's for the greater good", "sacrifices are necessary to protect our people", "we did what we had to do", "they left us no other choice", etc. From the point of view of G-Cup, yokai are amoral monsters at best and an evil human-eating plague at worst. Sometimes devotion for a cause is the greatest form of blindness. And people who blindly kill for it are usually incapable of thinking for themselves anymore. They require external commands in order to live. And without then, they believe there is no purpose in their life.
