Hmm... I don't see this ending well.

I always wondered in these stories, how the characters think it will go down. Like in this one.

There is this guy, the strongest swordsman. Not just a title, he literally has never lost, yet. The royals need to balance power. This part is pretty normal. Noble families gaining more power will eventually lead to the downfall of the royals. But the plan they come up with is mess with the only daughter of the 'strongest,' who also has the backing of one of the 4 noble families. I am sure it would turn into a non-issue in the novel, but in real life, this would most likely spark a revolt, especially since his master is the type to light the world on fire because she likes the color of the flame.

@Chroniko to be fair her character isnt exactly nice, heck she's even a bit evil, since she tried to drown the mc, set on fire, etc. Besides that she's kinda an all round asshole, maybe a minor one but still an asshole

oh so this is probably where Sansui beats all the other op isekais who fight him at once. I thought that his master said that Sansui may have only mastered a couple techniques, yet he is the strongest between them and his master was the strongest in the world prior to Sansui

Targeting Rain could lead to two scenarios that are equally bad.

1. Sansui goes berserker mode.
2. What Sansui cherishes most is rain, so if he goes with her if she leaves, they lose a major fighting force.

Either way, letting a fat suspicious noble from another country into your politics like this is asking for trouble.

We've yet to see the mc get really angry. Trying to use his daughter as a figurehead might be able to do it...

I agree, cliche nowadays are abound everywhere..... even hollywood cannot escape from the remakes and sequel mire that its fallen into... creativity in humanity should really be revamped...

for the faith part, there's bound to be extremist in every religious beliefs... do you know there's militant Buddhists in certain part of south east asia/border indochina? it's just that American and most anti-christ followers tend to target Islam as a rule in general... lol... even the ruling party in India is advocating 'religious policing' towards non Hindust in India, but this issue is not that popular in the global scale....

it's on the verge to lose my interest... it seems to be political/internal war theme but it's shallow... or maybe because the manga left out many things from the novel ? didn't read it yet, not sure I want to now 🙄

@vantablack35 I was going to offer a counter point, but then I remembered, this is the Noble that our boy shamed isn't he? If so, he doesn't have to steal the daughter, just get them both embroiled in the political clusterfuck and dance of assassins by dragging the little girl into the limelight.

Man this country is done for.

The royal family only has control of around 20% of the country, lacks military power (come on, every house has a superpowered individual except the royals) and they're desperate because of it. But instead of using political means to control the houses and/or their superpowered individuals, they just sit on their asses complaining about it and on the verge of concocting a desperate plan using Rain that will certainly piss off Sansui.

Considering taking advantage of a sage's daughter seems like a bad idea when we know that his master wiped out countries for lols pretty much and even if they defeated sansui his master might pop out for a bit and take revenge so no one gets cocky
