@Meri08 On this point you need not worry, he cannot become evil or at least in the novel that is still in progress does not happen.
But he can get angry as you saw in the previous chapters, but more towards others he gets angry from what I see towards himself and his impotence. '^^

@Ifrittuccia if any of his love ones get hurt, I wonder if he'll turn evil? or dangerous?
he's strong, but he is learning and doesn't really do anything with it aside from science and healing

@Meri08 if they use the classic strategy of kidnapping someone dear to them then our protagonist can also become vulnerable.
This is the reasoning that the queen is doing. :)

a lot of work is MUCH better, than lot of death..
once plague outbreak is occurring, it's more work than preventative action

I’m looking forward to when the Empress confronts “Falma” on his possession (the real Falma probably died to the lightning bolt, though. Rip :[). On a similar note, it would be cool for him to tell the full truth to somebody (not just that he’s a medicine GOD who is possessing Falma, but also that he used to be a world-famous doctor back on Earth).

@Poklamez isnt that how pigeon got the name "rats with wings" or are those seagulls? ๐Ÿค”

Quarantine centers at city gates and the harbor?
That is... a lot of work... such a nightmare for the medics...
Avatar
@Rei They're preemptively killing off the plague's transmission vectors in the capital so that they only have to worry about human-to-human transmission. Rats carrying fleas could easily break a quarantine without being noticed.
Avatar
does he even need a bodyguard? he's so strong... though I guess to prevent exposing his identity
Avatar
Didn't it turn out pigeons were worse than rats though?
Avatar
@Chizan Streptomycin, gentamicin, doxycycline, and ciprofloxacin are used against the bubonic plague ... because sadly it still is around today.

Sooo the medicine, some kind of antibiotic? Not penicillin, that's ineffective against plague, but...

@saifors In the page of human(!) history the plague is really just a page. It came, killed thousands and went. For most of human history (read up until the end of WWII) most people on earth used most of their money for daily necessities and of that most was food. Keep in mind that up until the 20th century many things we see as basic today, e.g. clean water directly inside your house, was a luxury.
Up until the end of the 19th century people were openly starving in the streets in many european countries. The earliest Child labour laws are only about 150 years old and by 1800 around one third of all factory workers in the US were children.

There have been much more impactful events in human history than the plague. It gets than much credit because many people died, but over the long term there weren't any deep political or social changes following.

double post for some reason. How can i delete?

thanks for the chapters

@Rei fleas feed on the rats and the rats travel long distance. The fleas won't move far and wouldn't have food or place to lay their eggs without a host.

Thanks for the chapter.
"Set up mouse traps with rat poisons"
Wouldn't killing the rat faster with poisons just make the fleas on it 'jump ship' sooner and help spread it quicker...
