Ch. 36 - The Ascetic Girl

@noctowld Yeah, I feel like I've seen the name in history texts/historical fiction, but I haven't seen his writings in RL.

@kaarme you might also know zhuge liang as "kong minh" or "khong minh", he is one of the best strategist in china's 3 kingdoms era (some others from same era: sima yi, guo jia, zhou yu, lu xun)

@Nk9bjP4A - Cleos is Summoning Tower's second-in-command. When it was a game, he used to be an NPC whom Mira dragged around, because he glows in the dark. Now he is doing government work.
The big oppai lady is Luminaria, one of the sages and used to be a renowed player. She used to be a guy who enjoyed playing as a girl, and Danbulf's friend. Now she is still enjoying her femininity and tries to get Mira to enjoy it too. She seems quite busy, but we don't see her actually doing anything useful.
The little martial artist girl is first introduced this chapter, but she seems to be the same as the Luminaria and Danbulf - one of the missing Sages.

it would be funny if the new sage is a man irl too

@Taco-chan It was roleplay until it became official lore of the world they were transported into. Perhaps NPCs remember the accomplishments prior to the 30 year time gap, and the 9 wise men started revolutionizing political climate within the world, making them well known or even sanctified. Even if they don't fulfill their role, they will be remembered by their deeds during their time in the game, and in "real life."

Let's hope Hinata won't die. She's out of her league.

@noctowld Zhuge Liang? I have naturally Sun Tzu's The Art of War in my book collection, but the other book of strategy I have is von Clausewitz's On War.

When your subordinate is so hyped that they get to see you in action again and learn from a master, but you only asked them to come because they glow in the dark.

So he's substitute for torch. Sounds eco-friendly.

Will it be 2 months to next time? I don't think my heart can take the wait.

@Taco-chan Yes and no. Yes, they at least started as a form of in-game role-play, but also, they were actually deserving of their titles and roles because of their abilities and talents. However, now that said game has become reality, the "world" (and the former NPC's) do not know them as being anything else. So in order to fit in and not cause a mass disturbance, they likely just went with it. Not to mention how their role-play seems to be heavily influenced by their actual personalities. So making the shift likely was not difficult at all. Sure some adjustments here and there, like gender changes for at least 2 of them and for the most part they dont seem to mind much since it is their own character design (also it is not guaranteed to be permanent since they somehow got in this world, so there likely would be a way to leave). Plus I will bet that they actually got an "upgrade" in terms of social status with this change. So there is less difficulty with just that alone.

All in all, with the exception of Mira (and even that is not really any different), they are more or less the same people as they were before.

@Taco-chan kind of... But you should consider the fact that even when it was just a game - it was incredibly realistic and complex, so anybody can create/conquer entire kingdom.
So just think about "nine wisemen" as exaggerated title of the main party of the guild that in control of the nation.
